Name
Type The dataset types include:
Fiscal Year Fiscal Year must be assigned to a dataset when created. By default, the current year appears at the top of the list.
Fiscal Period Fiscal Period or Date Range must be assigned to a dataset when created and defines whether the data in a dataset represents a month, several months, a quarter, or a year.
The Effective Tax Rate report uses the group rate as the statutory rate to which the provision reconciles.
Case Number The case number is an optional field and used primarily when exporting data to compliance software.
Transaction
Apply Data Options The dataset has either "Tags" or "Classes & Subclasses" depending on the parameters set up in administration.
Source Dataset
Prior Period Dataset The dataset used for dataset comparison within the provision "Data Input" pages and "Reporting".
Date When the dataset is created the application applies a date and time stamp.
Other Options The following options can be selected when creating a dataset.
Sub-Consolidations Sub-Consolidations allow you to combine units and create additional views of data.
Attachments You can support data by attaching documentation files data entries.
Active Workpapers You can support data by attaching Active Workpapers files to data entries.
My Reports You can copy custom reports options when adding a dataset. Report Footnotes You can copy the report footnotes when adding a dataset.
Security Access You can copy the user"s permissions when adding a dataset.
Data Source History You can copy the data source history when copying a dataset.
Clear Global Access Sign-off You can clear global access sign-off when copying a dataset.
Copy Notes When adding a dataset you can select the option to copy the notes.
Scrunch Temp Diffs You can "Scrunch" data when creating a dataset. The "Tag" or "Classes" selected during the "Scrunch" process appear for informational purposes.
Read-Only
Archived datasets are similar to Read-only datasets. An archived dataset will not appear as a selection in the "Control Center" for Data entry, Transfer and Reporting.
Search Datasets To filter the dataset list, enter alpha-numeric information and a new list immediately generates.
Import Datasets To import a new dataset, complete the appropriate fields on the #CD# Datasets sheet in the import categories template.
