Pre-Tax Book Income

You can add Pre-Tax Book Income bridge mappings in Pre-Tax Book Income in the Manage Bridge within Administration. Bridge mappings can be modified and deleted. To import mappings, complete the appropriate fields on the #MPTBI# Pre-Tax Book Income sheet in the Import Bridge template. For more information about importing, refer to the Importing Templates documentation.

Screen Entry Fields

Unit, Flex 1, and Flex 2

•	The Unit must be a valid Unit code.

•	Flex 1 and Flex 2 are optional for user-defined codes.

•	Entering an asterisk (*) in a field applies account rules across all units.

Ledger Account Code

•	The Ledger Account should be an account code in the exported trial balance data file.

PTBI

•	The PTBI bridge mapping options are: LOC - Local Currency PTBI or USD - US Dollar PTBI.

Note: Be sure the currency you select here (Local or USD) matches the PTBI policy in the Unit Details screen for the units you want to bridge into the system. If it doesn't match, the PTBI will not calculate.

Begin and End Factor

•	Beginning balance factor is typically zero because it is ignored when computing PTBI.

•	Ending balance factor is typically 1 or -1, depending on the signs of the exported trial balance data file.
