You can support data by attaching documentation files and Active Workpaper files to entries such as book/tax differences, payable, and intercompany transactions.
The manage attachments icon appears after you enter and save data.
1. | Double-click the Attmnts icon to attach files. |
2. | Browse for the File Name and then enter a Description. |
3. | Click Add. You must complete the Description field; otherwise, the Add option is unavailable to complete the process of adding attachments. |
4. | Click Close when you have finished adding attachments. |
Note: You can attach one or more files within the attachments and comments page.
• | The user who attached the file along with the date and time are displayed in the attachments and comments screen. |
• | In the data entry screens, when an attachment is added to an adjustment the attachment icon is highlighted in yellow for that adjustment. |
• | When you select the option With Attachments, all documentation files roll over with the dataset. |
• | Active Workpapers files automatically roll over with a dataset. |
