System Overview

The Global Access program simplifies the tax provision process. Domestic and foreign subsidiaries compile tax provision information and enter that data directly into the program. As a result, the potential for making errors is reduced, and immediate access to computed reports are available for the provision as well as the effective rate.

In addition to stream-lining the process of entering and consolidating provision information, the program provides users with a set of controls. Administrators can create up to eight levels of sign-off for users. As a result, users must sign off for each level, assigned. Upon sign off, the program sends an email verification to the administrator. Administrators know immediately when data entry is signed off, completed, and reviewed. Users can sign off one unit at a time or multiple units which is completed at the sub-consolidated level. The status of sign-off level appears in the Global Access Unit List, as well as in the Sign-off Summary report, in ONESOURCE Tax Provision. Additionally, administrators can limit access to units by setting up sign-off levels for units. They can also limit the tax adjustments seen by a user (such as permanent and temporary differences) by assigning adjustments on a unit-by-unit basis.
