Register ONESOURCE Excel Add-in

Before you can use ONESOURCE Excel Add-in, you must register your installation. When you register the add-in, you enter your ONESOURCE credentials. ONESOURCE Tax Provision uses the information you enter to ensure that you can enter your data and that the access permissions of your user role are reflected in the behavior of the add-in. Registering ONESOURCE Excel Add-in requires an Internet connection. (If you connect to the Internet using a proxy server, follow the procedure in the next section of this topic.)

Note: When you open an Excel spreadsheet after successfully installing the Excel Add-in, a prompt or message about registering the Excel Add-in does not automatically appear. You must click the Register button to activate the dialog boxes which will lead you through the registration process.

2.	When you open Excel for the first time after installing ONESOURCE Excel Add-in, select the Data Import tab at the top of the window. In the Data Import ribbon, click Register.

3.	The Registration dialog appears. In the Product field, choose ONESOURCE platform. In the Universal ID field, type your ONESOURCE user ID. In the Password field, enter your ONESOURCE password.

You can register other licensed products by selecting the appropriate Product from the drop-down list. The registration fields will vary depending on the product you select.

Note: To register a product other than one licensed through ONESOURCE, you must use the ID and Password credentials provided by that product.

5.	After all selected products are registerd, click Done.

The Registering status dialog appears while the registration process takes place.

Note: If the ONESOURCE account associated with your Universal ID and Password does not include a valid license to use the Data Import add-in for any products, a warning message appears.

6.	After the registration is complete, the Data Import confirmation appears. Click OK.

Since an Internet connection is required to register the ONESOURCE Excel Add-in, if you connect to the Internet using a proxy server, you must enter your proxy settings before attempting to register.

2.	When you open Excel for the first time after installing ONESOURCE Excel Add-in, select the Data Import tab at the top of the window. In the Data Import ribbon, click Add-in Info and then choose Settings. The Settings dialog appears.

4.	In the Proxy tab, mark the Enabled selection, enter your proxy settings, and then click OK.

5.	In the Data Import ribbon of Excel, click Register. The Registration dialog appears.

6.	In the Product field, choose ONESOURCE platform. In the Universal ID field, enter your ONESOURCE user ID. In the Password field, enter your ONESOURCE password.
