Register ONESOURCE Excel Add-in |
Before you can use ONESOURCE Excel Add-in, you must register your installation. When you register the add-in, you enter your ONESOURCE credentials. ONESOURCE Tax Provision uses the information you enter to ensure that you can enter your data and that the access permissions of your user role are reflected in the behavior of the add-in. Registering ONESOURCE Excel Add-in requires an Internet connection. (If you connect to the Internet using a proxy server, follow the procedure in the next section of this topic.) Note: When you open an Excel spreadsheet after successfully installing the Excel Add-in, a prompt or message about registering the Excel Add-in does not automatically appear. You must click the Register button to activate the dialog boxes which will lead you through the registration process.
You can register other licensed products by selecting the appropriate Product from the drop-down list. The registration fields will vary depending on the product you select. Note: To register a product other than one licensed through ONESOURCE, you must use the ID and Password credentials provided by that product.
The Registering status dialog appears while the registration process takes place.
Note: If the ONESOURCE account associated with your Universal ID and Password does not include a valid license to use the Data Import add-in for any products, a warning message appears.
If you connect to the Internet using a proxy server: Since an Internet connection is required to register the ONESOURCE Excel Add-in, if you connect to the Internet using a proxy server, you must enter your proxy settings before attempting to register.
