Parameters

You can activate parameters in an instance of the application making certain functionality, calculations, report views, and other items available. The four types of parameters are System, Dataset, Unit Dataset, and Unit State Dataset.

System parameters are activate in Manage Restricted Features and Manage Configurations.

Manage Restricted Features parameters are set up in administration. You can export categories from administration, update the exported file with the parameter information within the #PD# parameter sheet and then import that file. You can save the file as .xls, or .xlsx file.

Manage Configurations parameters are in a list of organized pages. Within each tab, you can activate additional functionality for the application.

Dataset Parameters are activated in Data Input within Dataset Administration, Federal Administration and State Administration. You can set up parameters for a dataset within Dataset Parameters, or just for a unit within Unit Dataset Parameters or for a state within Unit State Dataset Parameters.

Notes:

Dataset parameters affect data at the dataset level.
Unit parameters affect data at the unit level, only.
State parameters affect data at the state level, only.
System parameters affect data within the entire application.
